Dilek Altan was born in 1987 in Eskişehir. After graduating from Eskişehir Anatolian Fine Arts High School, she got in to İstanbul Bilgi University with full scholarship, majoring in Photography and Video. During the time she was studying, she was assigned to take photos and shoot videos for santralistanbul, VCD and POV Departments, she also worked during the exhibitions. Now, she is pursuing her personal work in photography, video and visual arts, as well as working as a freelancer.
